Dr. Esther O. Famutimi
CEO
Dr. Esther O. Famutimi is the founder and chief executive officer of Nurse Path Academy and Research Hub (NPARH) Limited, an officially registered organisation in Nigeria (company registration number 8405105). She maintains a steadfast dedication to the enhancement of the nursing profession and the progression of research on a global scale. NPARH is dedicated to fostering excellence in nursing practice, education, and research. Dr Esther asserts that NPARH adheres to all requisite regulations, including independent entity registration and the fulfillment of social charge obligations, as demonstrated by the organisation's tax identification number (33067999-0001). Her professional path began at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Nigeria, in 2007, where she held the position of Nursing Officer 1. Over the years, this trajectory led to her elevation to the rank of Deputy Director of Nursing on January 1, 2023. This extensive experience has significantly prepared her for leadership and management roles, imparting valuable insight into the essentials of strategic planning, effective communication, and collaborative efforts. Dr Esther is a Fellow of the West Africa Postgraduate College of Nurses and Midwives (2015) and a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (2023), She has consistently shown a strong commitment to professional advancement and excellence. In addition, her membership in Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honour Society of Nursing, has considerably deepened her understanding of nursing excellence and scholarship. She is a registered nurse/midwife in Nigeria and has a Ph.D. in Maternal and Child Health Nursing from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria in 2023. She obtained her master’s degree in Maternal and Child Health Nursing and a Bachelor of Nursing Science from the University of Ibadan in 2014 and 2006, respectively. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at North-West University, South Africa. Dr. Esther, an emerging expert in the field of maternal and child nursing, exhibits a deep dedication to guiding and nurturing the upcoming generation of individuals who aspire to develop careers in nursing. She anticipates that this organisation will have a significant impact on the nursing profession, serving the public interest through the enhancement of nursing education, practice, and research. These initiatives aim to raise the standards of nursing education and advance the body of research in Nigeria. Her research areas include emergency obstetric care, newborn and child health, reproductive health, pregnancy and childbirth complications, child development and growth, and adolescent mother health. Dr. Esther consistently demonstrates a readiness to make significant contributions and remains open to collaborative endeavors.
